Jes & Sydney

Back in 2013 while Jes was still in her apprenticeship, Sydney Weiche and her sister put their trust in Jes and became clients. They share fond memories of the times spent in Jes’ chair while she learned on the job and Sydney navigated high school. Years later, just after Jes having her first son Oliver Harlow, the stars aligned.

Sydney had given college a shot and decided it wasn’t for her. She came home with the intention of starting beauty school. Jes posted an apprentice needed ad and Sydney answered the call. When they met for her interview, Jes was so proud of who Sydney had become and the bravery she exemplified in choosing to follow her dreams. They both had a strong feeling they would be a perfect fit.

Sydney’s apprenticeship gave Jes something to look forward to, she saw so much of herself in Syd and remembered what it was like to be in her shoes. Sydney became the little sister and best friend that she was committed to seeing succeed. Sydney did just that and exceeded all the milestones envisioned for her. She completed her apprenticeship & became a certified extension specialist.

Student became teacher and the two taught each other so much along the way. Together they built something beautiful. They decided to stick together and become the dynamic duo you have all come to know, servicing all of their clients together. What began as a home salon ‘The Harlow House Salon’, named in honor of Oliver Harlow, grew into something even more meaningful. Jes and Sydney dreamed of a vibrant space where stylists felt empowered and clients felt at home. That dream has now evolved into The Hair Girls Salon—a fresh new chapter, with the same passion, heart, and commitment to excellence. While The Harlow House Salon was where it all started, The Hair Girls Salon is the reimagined version of that legacy: fresh, feminine, and fueled by creativity and connection.

Jes and Sydney are proud of what they have created here and acknowledge each of the clients, friends, and family who had a hand in making this dream a reality. This is just the beginning for The Hair Girls Salon and it is so great to have you along for the journey!
